| Gregg
Danhires:
Born December
26, 1960 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. At the age of 23, Gregg
moved to Brooksville, Florida, where he went on to start a country
band called Florida Heat.
Florida Heat
made 5 records with Gregg as their lead guitar player. Accomplishments
such as this, landed Gregg and his band pals local airplay and
a cable special.
Alas, Gregg
felt a yearning inside of him “there must be more”,
so in 1993, he packed up and moved to Crab Orchard Kentucky. Staying
there for four years, he soon learned that the calling inside
is heart was to be found in Lexington, Kentucky.
Upon his
move to Lexington, he’d soon meet a refined lady, reining
from North Carolina, named PJ. It wasn’t long after, that
a beautiful little girl named Georgia Rae arrived. Gregg is also
the stepfather of Kevin and Phillip. Both are accomplished musicians.
While Phillip plays trombone in the high school marching band,
jazz band and concert band, Kevin plays guitar, mastering the
“finger style” technique.
Meanwhile,
during Gregg’s wooing and procreating escapades, finally,
it all made sence when Gregg picked up the phone to answer an
add in the local paper….”Seeking, lead guitar player,
must have own guitar.”
Now, it’s
been 5 years since, and Gregg loves traveling the tri-state area
with 2 Cool. Playing any venue that will have them. Finally his
calling had been met!
